A Stay @ Home Mom and Her Creations!

Birthday Post!!

Hey Guys!

So I had a crazy week of wedding planning and birthday celebration! We’ll talk about that in a minute.

I had a minor tragedy happen last week also, my sewing machine is down and needing repairs. 😦 They say that the timing is off and that I need to bring it in so they can take a look. So in the mean time I’ll be doing some random posts to keep you entertained 🙂

Soooo … I turned 22 on sunday! I don’t feel any different other the weight I’ve been losing. Which by the way is at 13 lbs and counting! Yay!! It takes a lot of work so I’m sure you understand my excitement!! I tried on a few wedding dresses on my birthday just for fun after we were done picking the bride’s maid dresses. They are such beautiful pieces of art!! I mean seriously the variety is endless. I feel bad for the brides that go in to the dress shops not knowing what they have in mind. I have a style I am going for and that made it really easy to narrow it down :).

My birthday was awesome! I went to dinner at the Olive Garden which is totally in my top 3 favorite places to dine. Here are some fun pictures from the trick candles that I got to experience for the first time!

Poor B-Rae got spooked by everyone singing :(. But Auntie (My sister) was there to save her :).

Very fun time!! I am glad I spent it with so many loved ones. I even got a surprise visit from my little brother who lives in california! What a doll!

Much Love

SAHM Segment! :)

If we don’t change, we don’t grow.
If we don’t grow, we are not really living.
Growth demands a temporary surrender of security.

~ Gail Sheehy ~

Hey Guys!

I am SO HAPPY today! Having this awesome Fiber Optic internet is a god send! It’s so fast and actually keep up with me. I am one of those people who has several pages going at once because my mind is all over the place. Yay for great internet!

We live in a small town here and people are always asking me “What do you do everyday?” This always strikes me as an odd question! In my mind I’m like you know I have a child right?!  This question does not offend or annoy me, I just can’t help but think well even if I lived in a city I would probably go about my day just like I do here in this little town. I wake up and get ready I clean house and do the house chores that never end. If it seems boring I crank up some music! I feed B-Rae her meals and make sure she gets her nap in at some point.

I now have sewing projects that I work on here and there. Then I like to try to have relaxing evenings when the fiance gets home from work. But don’t think that’s all I ever do! I swear there is always something going on! We have birthdays to go celebrate, holidays that we like to always do something fun to recognize them. Here and there B-Rae and I will have a play date which is always fun for both of us! We have several members of my fiances side of the family that live in this town with us so we spend time with them as much as we can. Luckily we have a big city that is just with in an hour away so whenever we want to go do something different it isn’t really that far away to get out :).

Maybe this just comes naturally to me and not to mention I enjoy keeping my house in pristine condition 😉 (which is a full-time job whether you have one or four kids)

I do get curious sometimes as to how other moms spend their days…

If anyone would like to share in a comment I would love to read about it!

I found something the other day and I thought I would share it with my fellow mammas!

I have not tried this myself yet because my daughter is not old enough to understand yet BUT I read that if you write a letter to a Disney character that they will send you an autographed picture like the one below. How cool and fun is that?! If any one tries this please let me know!

It says you send your letter to this address:

Walt Disney world communications

p.o. box 10040 lake buena vista, fl 32830-0040

AGAIN I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS OUT YET but go for it with your little one and tell me about it!

Thanks for reading today!

Last New Bow!!

Hi Guys!

I can’t even wait I have to show you the new bow!

For the Pretty Princess

I just added the jewel for that extra touch 😉

Lined alligator clip, I like to show both sides 🙂

Remember yesterday when I said I wanted to see the korker bows made into a pigtail set? Well I totally tried it out on B-Rae and I’ll let you see for yourself how cute and fun it is!

Ah!! Cute Right?!

Something you should know:

I was simply heart-broken when a few months ago my dearest daughter decided she did not want bows in her hair…ever. I did not take this personally and I don’t think she disliked them in her hair. She was so fascinated by the clip part that she would always reach up, pull out her bow and play with it. Anyway! The other day when I started the bow sale I decided to give it another go…

I’m happy to announce that she left the bows in the whole time and I took them out before bed!! Yay! Now I’m putting bows in her hair everyday everyday! 😀 Don’t get me wrong the pig tails and pony tails are adorable but when I can add a bow I made myself… Chah!! Super Cute!

Another view of the korker pig tail set!

The bow sale is over now. But you can always order them at my everyday good prices 🙂

Remember that if you see something on my blog that you like so much you would like one for your little one, just shoot me a message and I can tell you the going price. I also do custom orders so just don’t hold out!

That’s all for now folks!

Much Love,

So for todays Stay At Home Mom Segment, which is meant for stay at home moms and work at home mom. Let’s face it we’re all at home one way or another! I was spending way too much time on Pinterest the other night after B-Rae had gone to bed and I found this cool Pin. It’s just a little something cute but I want to share it with everyone because I am totally into stuff like this!

Bug Snack Bags!

Fun Snacks/Art Project! First you can have fun making these with or for your kiddo(s) then you can use them. They are simply embellished wooden clothes pins. Then you can pick two snacks of whatever you want to feed your kid(s) and do as shown in the picture. (I think its pretty self-explanatory.) How cute and fun right?! I have this in the Fun Time To Do List for B-Rae and I!

Pinterest really is awesome! If you haven’t gone and joined and given it a go, well then you should! I get great inspiration from Pinterest and am constantly doing fun creative things thanks to it. There is literally something for everyone on there, no matter what your interests are.

Okay folks that’s all for today! Don’t forget to pop over to my Facebook page and add me! Then go straight to the For Sale album to take advantage of the steal deals on bows going on only until Sunday!!!

I mentioned yesterday that B-Rae has gotten a cold. Now since she is 19 months I was at a loss for what medicine to get for her! We decided to do infants ibuprofen when she really seemed to be uncomfortable. Then the cough came! I found this great stuff by Little Remedies called Honey Elixir that is a natural way to soothe a cough. I like to think of it as a liquid baby ok cough drop.

Little Remedies Little Colds Honey Elixir soothes cough naturally and calms fiery throats. When it comes to children’s healthcare, Little Remedies steadfastly believes less is more and strives to make sure that each of their products contains just what is needed for fast, safe and effective relief–nothing more.

One night she got such an upset tummy that i was almost in tears! We happen to be visiting my parents house so grandma ran out to get some tummy medicine. She came across Gripe Water, which is by the Mommys Bliss brand. Safely and naturally relieves stomach discomfort and gas. This stuff works almost immediately!

Mommy’s Bliss and Baby’s Bliss Have United Under One Name!

I’m just sharing these with moms who may be as lost as I was when Bella got really sick for the first time. You are the person who knows your child the best and I know that everyone has their own views on this. This is just what I found to work best for us.

There is nothing better than having family and friends to consult when things come up with your new little one. So my sister found this for me and I havent tried it yet but plan on getting it for the medicine cabinet!

Day Timeand of course Night Time

Calling All Stay At Home Moms AND Work At Home Moms!!!

I am super excited that the weather is warming up! Well at least it is here..

This means that we can take our little ones outside for extended periods of time to play play play! Today B-Rae and I went outside for a whole 30 minutes and without coats. We explored the whole yard all the way around the house. We had so much fun and loved the fresh air! I think since her birthday is in July that we have to get her some

fun outside toys.

What do your kids go for first thing when they get outside?

B-Rae loves to run and find things to carry around. I think she needs a new kiddie pool as soon as it gets hot enough! I very much like to bring toys back into the house or at least on the deck out of the weather so that they last longer with out weather damage. Am I the only one that does this?

It’s just so great to get them outside and let them play in the fresh air and explore until they are good and done 😉

Moving on!

I got the GREATEST book in the mail today! I found it online the other day and almost couldn’t wait to get it before I told everyone about it!

Ok ok so it is titled “Making Children’s Clothes” By Emma Hardy. 25 stylish step-by-step sewing projects for 0-5 years, including full-size paper patterns. Need I say more?!

This is such a great book! Here’s the book:

Front Cover

Here are some pictures of what it looks like inside:

Back CoverPatterns folded up insideProject Inside

They are super explanatory instructions and great for sewers of all experience levels. I am SO looking forward to making fun clothing from this book! Highly Recommend!

Oh and PS it was a good price I got mine for just under $15.00 including shipping. 🙂

Ok I’m going back to the sewing machine now! Much Love Everyone!

Mixer Post! SAHM & Finished Products!

Okay! So today is going to be a mixer post. On the menu today is SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) Segment #5 AND some finished products to share what I’ve been up to 😉

Let’s jump right in!

I always wonder what other moms typically do on a daily basis. Maybe I’m a weirdo! :p

But seriously, do they have a basic routine that they use as a guideline or do they just wing it hahaha! What do you fill your day with as a SAHM? I would also love love love to hear about WAHM’s and what you do in your typical day??

I’ll start by sharing mine!

7:30-8:00 AM             Wakey Wakey! This is followed by breakfast and getting ready for the day depending on what we may have going on.

I typically spend my morning either making the days blog post or cleaning house. I know weirdo! Who cleans the house first thing in the morning?? This girl right here!

B-Rae will either want to eat lunch or just go down for a nap right around noon. When this happens I take full advantage!! Hahaha! I use this as my “me” time. I do whatever I want! Take a bath or work on a sewing project without interruptions J or maybe I wasn’t able to fully get ready earlier so I will at this time or clean areas that are easier when she’s asleep. Oh and sometimes I use this time to get in a good workout or I will have a few phone calls I need to make so this would be the time for that!

She naps anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours. When she gets up she likes to be a whiner for a few minutes 😉 then its food time. Then its time to PLAY PLAY PLAY!

6:00-7:00 PM is dinner time. Fiance is home and we are all relaxing and eating the last meal of the day 🙂 TV time after that!

8:00 PM Time for the bed time routine! This was talked about in a previous post called “Bed Time Battles”

Depending on how the bed time routine goes she is in bed by 9:00 PM

Then AGAIN I have the “Me” time that sometimes I like to share with the Fiance 😉

That is it in a nutshell! Keep in mind that this fluctuates to meet our needs on the daily. If we have plans to do things outside of the house then we fit it in wherever and make it work out 🙂

I would LOVE to hear how your routine goes!!

Now switching the channel to what I’ve been up to the last few days:

Some more bows because they are just so fun!!

Getting ready for SPRING!

Here are some embellishments for these colors of ear warmers 🙂

Super cute new style of fabric flower!

I am showing the fleece material for color and I do not pre-make the ear warmers. I get measurements of head circumference from customer and then sew it up, placing the embellishment in the perfect spot!

You can see examples of finished ear warmers that have been sent out on the Facebook page shown below.

On another color, super cute!

Here you can see how the flower looks from the side

Little Pink Princess

Can you tell I'm calling for Spring?!

Of course available for purchase on my Facebook page shown below.

The next new item I’m working on is…

Binky Clips!! They are so awesome! I have already made and sent some out with great feed back, now I have improved them and as soon as a I get some supplies needed for them in the mail I can finish them and show and tell so be watching!

These are tried and true people! Coming Soon!

Kickstarter is HERE!!!! Yay!!

Lovely little quote:

“You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.”
– Desmond Tutu

Follow this link to see Kickstarter and watch my video!

My project is to design and create high quality children’s products that are unique to the mass produced selection in stores today. Products such as rompers, dresses and super cute onesies with accessories such as bows, hats and head bands to match. Bedding of different styles for little boys and little girls, blankets made of soft flannel, cozy fleece, and the ultra soft minky fabric. I have a very reasonable price range for all of my products. I will launch an online store via Facebook and Etsy as well as my own website.

I was inspired for this project when I realized that I never wanted to put my child in a day care everyday to have a stranger raise her. I want to teach the beauty of life at home with her loving parents. I want to inspire her to see what I have accomplished and that anything is possible and she can do whatever her heart desires. Parents want the best for their kids and that’s how it started!

I have a strong chemistry with creating things and having a ton of fun doing it I am the perfect person to take on this project! I strive to inspire stay at home moms to find their talent and or passion and make it bloom. To create my own store chalk full of the most adorable products for kids made by my very own hands! I will make a variety of clothing that will have you pulling out the camera! This will all be so personalized! Specially made specifically for your loved one.

I have had great success with bows, bibs, burp cloths, pillow case dresses and wash cloths and more that I have already made and put to use in my families house hold. I am creating new, fun and simply adorable items almost everyday right now! I want them to get out into the world for everyone to have their own unique taste of Baby Fashion! I will make new creations constantly so that there is always something new to choose from. Everyone will have the opportunity to have a custom design of their own. Imagine having custom aprons for you and your child that are custom made and match your kitchens theme or your childs favorite thing to make in the kitchen with you…

Follow this link to see the video!

Much Love Everybody! Let’s makes this big and let everybody know this is happening! Thank you!

Tuesday! Tuesday! SAHM #4

Good Morning everyone!

Here’s a thought for you from the book by Donna Kooler called “The Encyclopedia of Sewing”.

“At its most basic, sewing is the joining of two pieces of material (usually fabric) with needle and thread. Anyone can do it simply by piercing a threaded needle in and out of the two layers of fabric. It’s easy to understand, easy to do, and within a minute or two, you can sew your first piece. But, as with most skills, you can start at the beginning and take it as far as you want.”

I plan to take it very far 😉

Thanks Teagan for the awesome book! This is going to be a great read! FYI they also have Encyclopedia of Needlework, Encyclopedia of Knitting, Encyclopedia of Crochet, and Encyclopedia of Quilting. They are full of each topic from history to basics, everything you need to know about materials involved to practice projects. Pick your craft and go for it! Let me know if you do! I would love to hear about it!!!

Sewing goes way back....

BUT it's still hot! 😉

Todays SAHM segment is going to be a continue of the “Keeping the house clean and your sanity at the same time” topic previously brought up. I have shared my views of this with some friends and family and it has been reported that they adapted to their own version of clean house. WONDERFUL right!

A GOOD POINTER: Pick up your “front room” before bed but after kiddos have gone to bed. It can be as fast as 5 MINUTES and I promise it makes the next morning start off much nicer.

As promised before here is the list that I go by when giving the house a once over 🙂 It is simple and straight to the task.

Do Dishes, Empty Trash, Clean Microwave, Wipe Counters, Clean out Fridge, Wipe down appliances, Take apart and clean high chair, Wash bottle rack, Clean Floor.

Living Room:

Put away toys, Wipe everything down, Wash throw blankets, Dust, Windex all glass, P/U and put away everything else, Vacuum (Hall too)

B-Rae’s Room:

Put away toys, Wipe everything down, vacuum, laundry, empty diaper pail

My Room:

P/U everything and put away, Wash bedding, Laundry, Dust, Vacuum (bath room & closet too)

My Bath Room and 2nd Bathroom:

Clean shower, Disinfect toilet, Wipe down counter and sink, Empty trash, Windex mirror, Mop

Laundry Room:

Wipe down washer, dryer, Empty trash, Mop

Clean up deck, Rinse out pool (obviously summer time only)

I'm not telling you to do it in your high heels! BUT if you want to go right ahead!!

Now you don’t have to wash your bedding every week along with a couple other things on this list that you can decide how often you want it done 🙂 Take my “simple & to the task” approach and refine it for your needs! But please tell me about it if you do!!! I’d love to hear how you made it work for your family.

Have a Fabulous day! Much Love!

Stay at Home Mom #3

Okay moms! Let’s talk nutrition, and not just for baby but you too! How do you make sure your little one is getting the right amount of each food group on the daily? Do you find that it comes naturally? Do you keep a mental note throughout the day? Or do you have a menu that helps you stay on track?

I do all of the above! Since B-Ray was born I was obsessed with her having a super healthy diet. I had a routine of baby food so that she got all the nutrition she needed on a daily basis. However now that she is older it’s changed a bit but I am still steadfast on a healthy palette. We enjoy doing naughty fun foods with her here and there such as candy or French fries. At home it varies kind of. I have a list of healthy toddler foods for her age on the side of my fridge so that when her daddy is in charge of a meal it s a quick guide for him. Otherwise it would be Cheerios and fruit snacks for dinner! Here is a typical menu for my toddler for a day:

                                                Breakfast: Cheerios and fruit

(She doesn’t typically want a morning snack)

Lunch: Cheese, hard-boiled egg and sometimes veggies

                                                 Snack: Crackers and milk

                                                 Dinner: Spaghetti and veggies

If you want to get some tips and pointers check out and use their search engine. It’s also good to find out what your child can or cannot have at his/her age. Now! My nutrition is kept track of very easy on My Fitness Pal (FREE app for smart phones). This app also tracks my calories for me. You can also go to their website and they will let you use their awesome tools to set a weight loss goal specifically for you. What do you do for nutrition as far as you and your little one??

Hooded Bath Towel For Baby Boy! Here we have it! A whole new item I mastered yesterday 🙂

This fits my 18 month old and with room to spare

I found that this was such a fun project to make I can’t wait to make another one! There are so many fun colors and characters to make the end of bath time just as fun as getting in! This is a nice thick towel sure to keep the teeth chatters away after bath time 😉

See nice size :)Want one right?!

You will be seeing more of this a little later on because I am already on to the next item! Sorry not telling it’s a surprise…. But it will be from the Joann’s haul from last Sundays post 😉

The Facebook will be updated soon so be watching 😀

I’m wondering how my followers would feel about a youtube channel being linked into some of my posts so you can see ME of course and get a better feel for how I operate…? Tell me what you think about this?! I know I have lots of viewers everyday so DON’T BE SHY!! Lets hear it!

Much Love! Have a Fabulous Day!
